A new facility to lodge Visa Applications is now available
at the Consulate. This DROP BOX facility aims to meet a
long standing public demand to reduce the waiting period
to lodge Visa applications. The facility is for those individuals
who wish to avoid waiting in a queue.
Visa applicants are encouraged to deposit their applications
in the Drop Box provided in the Consular Hall. Currently
the facility is only for individuals paying the scheduled
fees through a Bank cheque (draft) or a Money order.
All the Instructions as displayed on the Notice Board have
to be fully complied with before depositing the application
in the drop box.

IS ONLY FOR VISA APPLICATIONS
While every care shall be taken on our part to accept and
process the applications deposited in the DROP BOX within
five working days, the Consulate shall not be responsible
for delays due to incomplete/incorrect applications. Incomplete/Incorrect
applications are likely to be rejected and shall be returned
along with the fee, only on the scheduled date of delivery.
Before depositing the applications into the DROP BOX, please
ensure that you have carefully read the Instructions and
filled up the application as per requirements.
The Check List is as follows :
1. All the columns of the Application Form have been filled
2. The application has been signed.
3. Photograph (One Only) has been affixed at the right place.(In
the Box on top of the application Form)
4. Exact fee has been enclosed. Only Bank Cheque/MOs
are accepted. NO CASH Please.
The visa fee for a 6 months Tourist Visa is $75/ . Business
or other categories where duration of visa could be longer,
the fee for 1 year is $120/ and for 5 years it is $240/.

5. Itinerary has been attached.
6. In case of Business Visas, letters from own company and
from company in India have been attached.
The completed applications may be put together with attachments
in the Numbered Envelope with Date. The envelopes are available
on the shelf at the Consular Hall. Please make a note of
the number and date as it will be used as reference to return
your Passports on the due date. Please also write your name
and number of Passports deposited, on the envelope itself.
Normally the due date for collection shall be the same
day, a week later. For example, Visa applications deposited
in this fashion on a Monday shall be ready for delivery
on the following Monday. The passports can be collected
during usual delivery hours between 2-3 PM from the counters
by giving your reference number ie. Envelope No. and the
Date of deposit.
MAY BE USED ONLY WHEN YOU ARE CONFIDENT OF HAVING FILLED
UP THE APPLICATION FORM CORRECTLY AND COMPLETELY. OTHERWISE
PLEASE USE THE COUNTERS TO LODGE THE APPLICATIONS.
Please note that No Receipt shall be issued for Visa applications
lodged in the DROP BOX. A receipt for the fee however shall
be handed over at the time of delivery.
The Consulate shall not be responsible
for any loss of Passports lodged in DROP BOX, unless the
applicant gives the Number of the envelope and the Date
The Consulate General of India reserves
its right to reject applications or refuse visa to any individual
without assigning reasons and shall not be responsible for
any delay or loss on account of extraneous circumstances.
