Passport, Visa and OCI services

have been outsourced from Thursday, 21 February 2008

NSW & South Australia applications for Passports, Visas (Except for Diplomatic and Official Passports)
and OCI / PIO services should be submitted to the service centre of

from 0830 hrs to 1500 hrs on all working days at:

Please note applications received by the High Commission / Consulates General at Sydney and Melbourne will be handed over to the service centre, and the applicant will be required to pay the additional service fee of A$18.

The following miscellaneous services will continue to be provided by The High Commission of India/Consulates General :-

1 Police Clearance Certificate
2 Birth Certificate based on Indian Passport
3 Life Certificate, Pension Papers pertaining to Pensioners
4 ECNR
5 Attestation of Property Documents/ Power of Attorney
6 Attestation of Documents of Foreign Nationals
7 Attestation of Commercial Documents for Companies exporting to India
8 Attestation of any other documents
9 Death Certificate
10 Emergency Certificate
11 OCI miscellaneous services for registered OCIs

Applications for the above mentioned miscellaneous services must be submitted at the following offices:

High Commission of India, Canberra (for applications from A.C.T, Northern Territory, Queensland, Western Australia)

Consulate General of India, Sydney (for applications from New South Wales and South Australia)

Consulate General of India, Melbourne (for applications from Victoria and Tasmania)

The Honorary Consulates in Perth and Brisbane would continue to accept applications for attestation of documents and Life Certificate.
