Australian organisations in India

 

 

                  The total value of Australian investments in India during the period April 2024 to January 2024 was Rs 1,981.64 crores ( US$ 436.22 million).  This accounts for 0.34 %  of the total amount of Foreign Direct Investment Inflows into India from all countries and sources.

Some of the major Australian companies which have presence in India include Telstra BHP Billiton;   Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation;  Rio Tinto diamonds;  Orica ;  ANZ Operations and Technology;  Boral Ltd; Qantas;  Cookie Man; Narrowcasters and  Sigma Pharmaceuticals.

Other companies include Macquarie Group ; Blue scope steel;   L J Hooker  ;   Leighton Holding; Axa  Australia; and Woolworths among others.  Some of the other prominent Australian companies   include Nufarm;  Flight centre,  SAI Global;  Brambles; Orbital; and  Linfox;  JV Global Limited; Dickson Rothschild,  Indian Resources Limited;  Insurance Australia Group and Oakton.

Austrade, the Trading arm of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has offices in India.  Five major Australian states NSW , VIC, WA, QLD and SA have offices in India.
